As I get older, whenever I think about Thanksgiving, I start to think about the traditions my family had when I was younger and the new traditions I have now with my wife and daughter.
- go to a movie that night
- last year, I took a nap with my 3 year old daughter (this is a new tradition) 😉
- go to the Opryland Hotel and view all the Christmas lights (new tradition)
- watch some football
- watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade
- go over to my Aunt Kathy's house and enjoy her "home-made" apple pie
Courtney: I eat and watch football! And I drive around three quarters of middle Tennessee!Candace: Basically our tradition is to be in the car all day going from one family to the next.Jackie: We have a turkey bowl (football) after our meal. All the male cousins play and we watch them knock each other around.Gordon: We go to the tree farm and get our fresh cut Christmas tree.Teresa: some of our family always watches the Family Griswald Christmas.Debbie: Lots of family, food, and football at my dad's house!Todd: Usually put the Christmas tree up on Thanksgiving afternoon. Black Friday shopping.Carol: We put up our Christmas decorations.Shirley: Taking all the sale papers, throwing them all over the floor and having the kids take different colored sharpies and circle everything they want! Dream big!!
