Geek of the Week – Lisa Moore

I get excited when I meet someone who’s excited about being Geek of the Week! And, Lisa Moore is that person! Lisa and her group attended our Nashville VBS Preview. Here’s some of the fun things Lisa shared with me:

What was your “geekiest” VBS moment?
My “geekiest” VBS moment would be purchasing a Kangaroo costume from a Kangaroo Bob’s that was going out of business and then renting it out to other churches (for a very modest fee) in the association to recoup our cost.

What has been your favorite VBS theme so far?
Game Day Central!
What makes you continue to do VBS year after year?
I continue to lead VBS every year because I truly feel called by God to do it and I am honored that He would trust me with such a great responsibility.

How would you complete this sentence? You might be a VBS Geek if …
You might be a VBS geek if you fall asleep singing the Game Day Central theme song and then wake up at 3 a.m. still hearing it in your head and then decide that pom poms made from popsicle sticks and streamers need to be made immediately!
Which VBS Preview did you attend and what was your favorite part?
I attended the Nashville Preview and I loved the music with Jeff Slaughter. He will always have a special place in my heart.
