Exclusive Game On! Fonts & Graphics
Did you know that you can take your VBS to the next level by using exclusive Game On! graphics available HERE? Snag clip art for church newsletters, website, promotional materials, outdoor banners, announcement slides, and more from the website or from the Decorating Made Easy DVD-ROM. You can also match the look and feel of Game On! by using the same fonts as were used in the Lifeway VBS materials.
This year, a custom font was created exclusively for Game On! VBS. I’m pleased to give it away here on this blog … FOR FREE! This is the same font as was used in the logo, headings, and on pretty much every Game On! product. You’ll see it everywhere. All you have to do is download the file, unzip it, and load it into your font library. If you’re unsure how to do that, simply Google the instructions for your type/model/age computer. It should be pretty straight-forward. Then go to town using it to promote your VBS! It’s yours to keep forever, so feel free to keep on using it after VBS is over.

Additional standard fonts appear in Game On! materials as well. They are as follows:
- Gotham (alternate header)
- Proxima Nova (body copy)
- Futura Extra Bold Condensed (student headers)
- Futura Medium (student/adult subheaders)

I’ve just previewed this year’s music. I’m wondering why there is no ABC song this year. Did I miss it?
Melita Thomas says
It’s the Day 3 song … “Get in the Game.” You can preview it here: https://vbs.lifeway.com/music/

I have been a graphic designer for 9 years at Kingsland First Baptist Church, in Kingsland GA and every year I am trying to go through 5 billion fonts trying to match the VBS font, so this is the greatest gift ever!! We will be using this for the dates on our promotional materials for our VBS event. THANK YOU!!!
Jeremy Gray says
Hi. I take care of most of the graphics stuff here at First Baptist Norfolk. Thanks so much for providing the typeface this year! Unfortunately, we are having several issues with the Game On! font.
First off, on both Windows & Mac machines, the font seems to work as it should in all our Adobe Creative Suite products. So, that is working well for those of us with “advanced” software options.
But, for those using just Word & Publisher it’s not so good. On Windows machines, the bottoms of all round letters (C, O, Q, etc.) are being sliced off (“flat tires”) in Word & Publisher. On Mac machines in Word, it only recognizes one standard & one italic version of the font (Standard = Outline, Italic = Standard), so we don’t have access to all 4 versions.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues – especially in Word & Publisher on Windows machines?
Jared Simpson says
Yes I am! Several people have commented on LifeWay VBS posts about this so hoping they know and are working a fix. I’ve used powerpoint and saved as an image as a workaround, but not great.
Bev C says
This was a helpful work around. Thank you!
Melita Thomas says
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Jeremy. We are aware some people have experienced some issues based on the type of application they are using. The font was developed specifically for publishing use with advanced software. Since it was created exclusively for LifeWay VBS, we are happy to share it with everyone but are unfortunately unable to provide any tech support. Thanks for understanding!
Jared Simpson says
Jeremy, I managed to find a workaround with a font editing software, so that the cut off does not happen, also allowing me to change the name of the font. I am no expert, but it seems to have fixed those errors on a basic level! I can email you these if you’d like?
Jessica Collins says
For anyone having font cutoff issues, the free graphics software Inkscape isn’t cutting off the letters. You can create headers, etc. in Inkscape, save as an SVG, and open in MS Office applications.
SaraJane Stry says
I would like to use the Game On! graphic (blue background with 3 balls) as part of our banner, which is traditionally a key part of our advertising.
Can you tell me what color blue (pantone or RGB) was used for that logo?
Melita Thomas says
The dark blue in the logo is PMS 662C — cmyk 100 95 24 21.
Temika Brown says
We will use for announcements and outreach materials, recreational items
Josue Carbonell says
Wow Thank You So Much!!!! This makes our marketing efforts WAY more productive and look authentic with entire VBS Theme! Please do this every year! You guys just get better and better!
Jenny Bone says
I used the font to make a Slap Sign (grades 1-2) to use on Day 5 instead of Day 4. Here’s a link to the google doc:

Omar G. says
I used these Game On fonts for 2018. Will “In The Wild” 2019 Fonts be available?
Thanks in Advance.
Melita Thomas says
Hi Omar! This year we used licensed fonts rather than making our own, so the fonts will have to be purchased from the license holder. Proxima Nova is the body copy font and Endurest is the title and header font. You can get Endurest from creativemarket.com … right now they’re running a 50% font on that font.
