Is There a Doctor in the House? – Impossible Clue #2
One picture of a beating heart and you guys are all over it. Way too easy. And I thought Clue #1 was impossible? Lifeway’s VBS team will need to dig a little deeper if we think we can fool the readers of this blog. You really know how to jump to the heart of the matter. (Possible pun intended.)
Of course, maybe we have dug a little deeper and the clue is more impossible than it may seem at first glance. Impossible Clue #2 is sure to shed a little more light on the subject and take you to a whole new level of guesses.

I’m sure you have figured it out by now. No? Watch the video again, and remember, the theme is revealed in the smallest of details – not what you automatically see.
Be sure to join the fun by sharing your guess in the comments section, then sign up in the box below to be entered to win a VBS 2016 Jump Start Kit, Preschool Starter Kit, and Kids Starter Kit! Winners will be announced during the theme reveal party on June 1 – beginning right here at 12:40 CST.

By the way, I know you are knee deep into Journey Off the Map – as you should be this time of year. I received the following message yesterday from a great VBS leader who was watching Impossible Clue #1 – “Guess what I’m watching? Can I tell you it’s my 2nd favorite part of VBS planning. The craziness of keeping my brain focused on 2015 when all it wants to do is think about 2016.”
So, as you struggle to keep your brain focused on 2015 while staying to 2016, give some thought to what event you might host to keep unchurched families discovered during VBS connected long after the week ends. One idea is an OMC (Organized Mass Chaos) Party. Lifeway’s CentriKid Camp team has created a fun and fast-paced large group game “that will get your kids going crazy with a purpose.”
In addition to being a great game (indoors or outdoors) for any time of the year, the CentriKid team has created task cards specifically for Journey Off the Map. Check them out – Journey Off the Map OMC Task Cards from CentriKid.com.
The Official OMC Game can be purchased for $39.99 by calling 1.800.458.2772 or clicking this link.
Join me again tomorrow for Impossible Clue #3. It is a real brain teaser!

I know this is way off the wall, but with the “inventions” comment yesterday I was thinking something from the past. Then with the horse gallop noises and that bearded dude, my mind immediately went to a Medieval theme. Guess I have Monty Python on the brain. Weird train-of-thought, I know…
Ben Rose says
I think it has something to do with the word TRUTH.
Adrian says
Romans 10:10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Yesterday – heart, “Good Combination” (the word “AND” in Psalm 24:4-5 speaks to the combination) and the eyes (said something like Christianity Virtue)
Today – mockingbird (mouth) and crossword solved gives you the letters for TRUTH

The puzzle clue is EARTH. Creation, Noah, Olympics. Can I get any more random???

Yesterdays clues that I picked up were: A Desperate man, the man who 1st did a heart surgery, A good combination…a good combination a deparate man needing a heart transplant.
Today’s clues: TRUTH, Mockingbird, a doorbell, a horse, A man in need of a bath….cleansing? I can’t get what the person says and the other sound sounds like an elevator?
So with all that, right now I’m sticking with Psalm 51:10 so far.

At this point I’m leaning toward the life of Hosea as a picture of God’s unfailing redemptive love, Adam and Eve and God’s plan for mankind. Definitely think it has to do with a couple. But I could be WAY off base, it’s only Tuesday!
Edwina says
For a clean heart just open the door.
John Gardner says
My guess is that the theme will be Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you: bind them about your neck; write them on the table of your heart. My reasoning is that mercy and truth are a good combination. We haven’t seen a “mercy” clue yet, but we have seen truth, heart, and a good combination.
Krista Long says
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

My thoughts on the day 2 clue – The crossword spells truth, There is the mockingbird and in the puzzle the only clue that did not fit with the past was “God’s love is always there.” The title sequence has the 0:07 so I am guessing that has to do with the verse
