The Leader Guide contains plans for leading students in worship, missions, recreation, crafts, and Bible study. On the DVD-ROM you will find videos and additional teaching helps to enhance your experience. Each student will need their own Learner Guide to help them apply what they learn on their journey to their lives at home.
And the most exciting part are the awesome four color posters included in the Starter Kit. (No more using all your color ink to print amazing posters for your walls!) I promise they are awesome! Each kit contains a large Promotional Poster, 5 Daily Session Posters, a VBS Scripture Poster, and other teaching items that will help you lead your students to hear God’s command, “This is the way. I’m looking for information on how to use the Student VBS material as a retreat for our teens. They will be working as assistants during VBS and we wanted to introduce the material to them and do something fun for them too.

I’m also interested in using this as a weekend retreat for our teens. We’ve tried doing a full week but with teens’ busy schedules we always loose/ gain teens throughout the week

We are looking to expand this years vbs into the 7th & 8th grade ranges. Since I’ve never seen this done before, I am wanting to find out how other churches have handled this. In essence, I’m trying to figure out how much / how little to integrate these ages with the standard pk through 6th grade age rotations. Or, whether we should break-off the 5th & 6th graders to do a rotation with the 7th & 8th graders. Any advice / experience/ thoughts? Thanks.

Journey Off the Map resources are available specially for 7th-12th grades. I recommend creating a unique experience and schedule for 7th/8th graders using the student resources. There is a tremendous difference between a 5th grader and an 8th grader – even if the kids themselves do not think so.
