And it Begins…Impossible Clues!
This is one of my favorite days of the year! It’s like Christmas morning for a six year old. A true kid in a candy store experience! This is a true Whoo-hoo moment!
Hopefully by now you can tell I’m just a little excited about the theme reveal for VBS 2015. Actually, a whole lot excited! It is one of Lifeway’s best themes yet!
Once again our marketing team and the folks at SEVEN7HSTORY Productions have hit it out of the park with the clues. I’ve seen them all, know the theme, and still couldn’t figure them out.
But of course I’m sure you will have no trouble following the clues. Don’t forget that the answer each day can typically be found in the smallest details.
So without further delay here is the first clue.

Amanda Grubbs says
I think it has something to do with the bottom of the sea.
Emily Noble says
Robots maybe?
Emma DaShiell says
Pacific Island Theme?! 🙂
Emma DaShiell says
There are coordinates to a Pacific Island and cartographic has to do with maps, also mapping the meat. Carnivorous? hmmmm….it’s never what you think it is….I’m gonna say a Dinosaur theme!
Emma DaShiell says
I just saw all the coordinates…is this a wild goose chase?! 😀
Jerry Wooley says
Do you really think we would send you on a wild goose chase??? Of course we would – especially on Day 1.
Chuck Jonas says
Looks like a lot of “traveling” might be happening!!! Can’t Wait!!!!!
Calyssa says
I think it could be some kind of mystery around the world kind of thing… When the picture goes crazy there are coordinates that appear… Hmm…
georgeann says
Oh – I hope it is robots… But I feel that is too obvious. But let’s go with that – Robots.
sherri says
a down on the farm theme
Jessica Vass says
I’m guessing farm something?

Jerry Wooley says
Me too!
Dani says
Brazil?????
Melba Strickland says
Mexican cow farms or butchery businesses that run on cow eating robot power? Just a guess.
Jerry Wooley says
Melba you have an interesting mind. I think I like the way you think.
MISTY DICKERSON says
ALREADY EXCITED!!! CAN’T WAIT TO FIND OUT THE NEW THEME!!!!
MISTY DICKERSON says
THERE ARE ACTUALLY 3 COORDINATES! 1 IS IN TORONTO, CANADA @ SINGING STUDIO OF DEBORAH STAIMAN, 1 IS IN OSLO, NORWAY, AND 1 IS IN THE PACIFIC OCEAN OFF THE COAST OF THE PHILIPPINES…I’M STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE CONNECTION.
Stacey says
On Google Earth, the one in Oslo looks like some kind of store. The one in the Pacific is the Challenger Deep, the deepest part of the ocean. Maybe it’s how far & deep God’s love for us goes.
Jerry Wooley says
You people are good. Keep it up. You are referring to one of my favorite Scriptures and songs.
Jerry Wooley says
Misty, once you figure out the connection let us know. We can wait for you to put it all together.
Jason McNair says
Misty,
I thought I saw four coordinates. The FIRST one is in Jerusalem on Agripa St. and there is graffiti on a nearby wall that says “Just Forgive”.
Rachel says
I think it is outer space – like the Milky Way. Thinking Star Wars type theme with the robot and the shooting stars at the opening and closing.
Terrie says
Animal Robot Farm?
Nancy Campbell says
A farm theme maybe? That would be so much fun!!!
Sally Chapman says
Where is clue one and two? Looked up coordinates and still no idea!!
Jerry Wooley says
The clues will be presented slightly out of order. Clue 3 will be followed by 2, 1, 4 & 5. So stay tuned!
Olivia says
Thanks for the clue Jerry.
Tammy says
Maybe the reference to the Bible verse. Gotta start searching my scriptures.
Nancy Drott says
Mexico
Connie says
Can’t wait for more clues!!
Jerry Wooley says
You won’t have to wait long. Clue Number 2 will post Wednesday morning. You may have noticed we started with clue Number 3. After we had completed the videos we realized it just made more sense to start with Number 3. Hmmmmmmm, could that be a clue?
Jody says
Looks interesting! Perhaps something about the body having many parts and all of us having different jobs to do? Romans!!

Jerry Wooley says
Truth Trackers was one of my all-time favorite themes – both the Biblical content and the decorations. I would do it again in a heart beat.
Amy B. says
Marketplace? I’m totally lost!! Excited to get more clues!
Darlys B says
Argentina
Marie Valle says
I’m thinking Latin fiesta something.
Rondi says
Cruising the world with Robotic Beef??
Jerry Wooley says
Rondi, you might want to keep chewing on this idea for a while.
Lisa Howard says
Will it have something to do with The Dead Sea Scrolls? Still not sure what Robots have to do with it though!!! 🙂
Jason says
Romans 8 has the best option for the verse of the week. I do not think this one has the theme. The clue has carnivorous and cardiograph references. verse 36 states that we were like sheep to the slaughter. Vs 37 says he showed us His heart of love for us. With the references to the 4 locations, the deepest part of the ocean, the people of His own city and other places around the world are all places He will follow us and nothing can separate us from the love of God. If this is wrong then I would go with Acts 1:8 Jerusalem, Judea (Toronto), Samaria (Norway) utter most parts of the world (Deepest ocean)
Jerry Wooley says
Deep. You have really given this a lot of thought. Awesome!
Jason says
Cannot believe I didn’t get the word “fate” at the very end.
Tracey Coke says
This clue references The next adventure of Rocket Pack Jack vs Carnivore….
Jerry Wooley says
Clever. Very, very clever. You know, Rocket Pack Jack does have a cliff hanger ending that begs for a conclusion. Could it be……..
naomi says
I sure hope so! We are going to do our own “press release” at the end of day 5 just so that the poor kids can sleep at night. =)
Amy Y says
I think maybe a submarine – Under water
Mickey Bentley says

I think the theme is a “Dude Ranch” theme.
Season Witherspoon says
Mexican Fiesta !
Jerry Wooley says
So where did you get Mexican Fiesta? I just don’t see it, but I’ll share a secret with you – I have been wanting to do a Fiesta theme for years.
Lee Ellington says
Farm theme
Joan says
As Jesus told us — take the gospel to the UTTERmost part of the world.
Jerry Wooley says
Joan, you certainly provided my laugh for the day. Clue week is one of my favorite weeks of the year. Your guess is UTTERly amusing! Keep it up. You might be closer than you think.

Sabrina says
High Sea Adventure… Ministry of Paul
Anna Alvarez says
31.7833 N, 35.2167 is Jerusalem.
Jerry Wooley says
Anna, great to hear from you.
Eric says
Maybe a world traveler theme, where they go into the “meat” of the Word. Did anyone else see the word “fate” at the end of the video? That throws me off.
Amber says
Oh my goodness, I have no idea, but I’m anxious to find out! Yalls guess is as good as mine (well, maybe even better!!!)
leisa says
I think middle east
amy says
Brazil theme – Brazil is the #2 beef producing country in the world following the US.
Jerry Wooley says
So is Texas the Number 1 beef producing country in the world?
Donna Millsaps says
I believe we have an undersea adventure coming up??
Tara says
We’re heading to the farm! Suweeeeee
Jerry Wooley says
LifeWay has never had a farm theme so you just might have something there. Steaks and BBQ for snacks. Great year!
Mark Noble says
Only if you don’t consider “Saddle Ridge Ranch” a farm theme.
Brenda says
All Around the Neighborhood–this stop was at the local Butcher Shop.
Jerry Wooley says
Next is the baker, followed by the candlestick maker.
Kim LeClaire says

misty says
Amazing Grand Race
Mark Noble says
I think it might have to do with a tour or Europe and Asia.
Tyler Conwell says
Coordinates are used in sailing, it’s going to be an open sea theme!
Penny says
I can make a wild guess, bur I am always wrong. Something with the CRC, hmmmmm.
Becky Rose says
My daughter and I love these clues! The different “MAP-HUES” indicate different cuts of beef, which are listed below in Portuguese. The country of Brazil is known for its Portuguese language, beef, and robotics (according to my daughter). If you subtract the second set of coordinates from the first, add the third, then subtract the fourth, the coordinates put you in Brazil. The Olympics will be in Brazil in 2016. MATTHEW 20:16 reads, “So the last will be first, and the first will be last” Since you started with Clue #3, and promise Clue #2 tomorrow, I can only assume that Clue #1 will be last. We are still working on the theme, though!
Jerry Wooley says
Becky, you are a math whiz – which certainly I am not. Wow! You could be the next Agatha Christie.
Bradley says
I think we will be traveling deep in to Gods word!
Bradley says
Sorry for commenting again but I think it is where is your fate! Because it gives you coordinate points and at the end of the video it says fate! Are you going to heaven or to hell???
Crystal says
The cow is a sacrificial animal, the depths of God’s forgiveness is deeper than the sea and as far as the east is from the west…therefore I am thinking that concept deals with the infinite nature of God’s grace and love for us.
naomi says
I have not seen the clue yet, so I feel I have an advantage over those who have seen it. 😉 I think it will be a time travel theme.
Jennifer says
Human Genome Mapping Quest based on Colossians 1:17 – He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.
Kristi Miller says
I have no idea where VBS is taking us, but I’ve enjoyed reading some of the others’ comments. You people are good!
Jennifer says
Human Genome Mapping based on Colossians 1:17 – He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.
Charlece says

Kim says
Farming theme???
Dye says

Laura Hix says
there is another clue that says fate. with everything else, I”m thinking that God’s love is all around the world or something like that., onlyh God knows the hairs on our heads, Jeruselum, Pacific ocean, God’s great big World and Love….
Denise says
Steak??
Wanda Smith Capps says
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord! Romans 8:38-39.
I’m thinking the space shuttle to the stars and diver at bottom of sea would go with “height and depth.” The cow would go with “nor any other created thing”, “Powers” could go with the GPS’s power to lead you in the wrong direction (my husband thinks it is about following God’s plan/God’s direction instead of the world’s plan – about sending out an SOS for God’s help – for his salvation which brings us joy) and the skeleton showing the heart could be “Love – God’s love!”. The filet mignon is the best part of the cow and the only word I could read. God’s love is the best part because God is Love! Nothing in any part of the world can separate us from that love. The sirens you hear in each clue could go with “death or life” in this verse. Snow was also mentioned in the clues and God’s love washes us white as snow when we follow his directions.
Wanda Smith Capps says
Well, another thought, Psalm 139: 7 – 10
Where can i go to escape Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence: If I go up to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there. If I live at the eastern horizon or settle at the western limits, even there Your hand will lead me; Your right hand will hold on to me. God’s GPS is the best in the world, you want make a wrong turn if you follow His GPS – God’s Plan for Salvation. We want be separated from God’s love or separated from his Spirit no matter what part of the world we are in.
Can’t wait until tomorrow to find out the next theme. What ever it is, I know i will love it! And I will start week after next – week after our Bible School – working on the new theme.
Megan Schlecht says
I’m thinking it is a Baseball type thing. You play at different angles. really i have no clue
Tiffany says
super excited about 2015! Don’t know about the theme yet but with all the cow stuff maybe a false idols link in one of the Bible study nights?
Paige Melton says
Blast through the past
Maryann says
Discovering His Love (Pirate or Sailing Adventure Theme)
Bob Green says
I believe this to be some type of theme related to NASA – earth as viewed from and part of outer space. God created the everything and is completely sovereign over everything.
Michelle Ghant says
I too think 2015 will have a space theme! Whatever it may be…I’m on board!!
