Zip Track of the Week: Construction Zone
Looking for a way to engage those fifth and sixth grade boys? Need something that those kids who aren’t into sports will enjoy? Want to get the men in your church to step up in a leadership role in your children’s ministry? If you answered, “Yes,” to any or all of these questions then the Construction Zone track is the solution you seek.
This track contains plans for five one hour sessions as well as templates and plans for kids to make their own bird houses, cutting boards, and nativity sets. Kids will learn the basics of constructing with wood along with reinforcing the biblical concepts taught during the Zip Bible Study time. The projects can easily be extended for use in a Day Camp, Speciality Camp or Weekly Camp.
The Construction Zone will be a great place to involve the men in your church in interacting and mentoring the children. This track will help the men in your church use skills that they are confident in an arena that they might otherwise not feel confident about venturing into. Kids will get to learn from Godly men and learn basic skills to carry into the future. It’s a win, win situation!
