Zip Track of the Week: Art Works

Do you have a budding young artist in your congregation? Or perhaps you have an exceptionally talented adult who teaches art. Cater to their unique learning styles with a track made just for them. The Art Works track incorporates the basic elements of line, positive and negative space, as well as perspective to help kids relate the biblical truths they are learning to creating their own master pieces. Warm-up Activities and Debrief sections help kids express their creative nature and apply what they learn during the Bible study time. From drawing to painting, kids will want to design their own Art Works.
Zip Tips for Art Works

• Focus on the process not the end result. Every child’s work will have their own unique personality woven in.
• Provide a variety of media and materials for kids to experiment with during the track time.
• Look for ways to build relationships with the kids as they are working.
• Art can be messy, provide old shirts as smocks. Cover the tables with plastic cloths.
