Zip Track of the Week
Each week from December through January, we will be highlighting one of the amazing Track times offered in our Zip for Kids curriculum. In case you haven’t heard, there are four track categories to choose from: Create It, Play It, Live It, Perform It. Within each category there are five options with plans for five days with the exception of Live It, which is your hands-on-missions opportunity. So in all we are providing you with 16, yes, 16 ready to go track times! Or you can create your own tracks to fit the passions of those in your church.
So without further ado, this week’s star is . . . drumroll please. . .
Duct Tape Creations from the Create It Tracks
From pencil pouches to surprise wallets, we’ve got you covered. With illustrated instructions, templates, and Warm-Up activities you can reach the kids in your zip code. Just print the plans and give them to your track leader. Check out the following tips to help your Duct Tape Creations leaders prepare for leading the track.
Zip Tips for Using Duct Tape with Kids
- Be sure to use the “Debriefs” included in each session to reinforce the Bible study for the day.
- Cut the strips of tape needed and attach them to parchment paper. Kids can peel the strips from the paper as they need them.
- If you are short on time you can opt not to use the Warm-Up activity each day. These activities are designed to get kids to shift from a large group to a small group setting.
- Make a large poster showing the steps for kids to follow while completing their projects.
