It's Your Choice – Clue Number Four
WOW! Melita is awesome at charades! She certainly deserves three cheers for that performance. Wait until you see her in tomorrow’s clue. She is one multi-talented young lady.
Speaking of things that come in multiples, let’s take a quick look at today’s CLUE NUMBER FOUR.
I love things that come in multiples! Things like ketchup, mustard, and mayo, or Mac Book, iPad, and iPhone, or Peter, Paul, and Mary (oops, I meant Peter, James, and John).
Join me Monday, June 3, 1:00 PM (CST) at www.lifeway.com/vbsthemerelease for the live reveal.
At 1:00 PM you will discover the theme, but all afternoon (about every 60 minutes) I will be releasing Bible content, theme background, decorating ideas, and helpful facts that I’m sure will lead you to the conclusion that Lifeway’s VBS 2014 is the perfect VBS for your church.
Well, got to travel! See you tomorrow – same time, same blog.

Annica Cook says
All the answers are D. So have we now advanced from 3-D to 4-D?
vbsguy says
Annica, you are one of the best clue sleuths out there! I recall that last year you were so very close to discovering the message behind the clues. Of course tomorrow we just might introduce a clue that makes you think 5-D!
Lori Welch says
Are the answers all Ds – 3Ds??
vbsguy says
All things are possible! But are they probably? Hmmmmmmm
EleElena Myles says
3Ds. Bible content about David, Daniel and Dorcas.
Roxanne Geiger says
I still say some sort of time travel or through history. With a 3D element. Using Exodus 3:15. God is the same yesterday today tomorrow.
Konnie Smith says
I’ll stick with my first choice, “Inquiring Minds Around the World Want to Know: Who IS Jesus?”
Nadine Beach Skinner says
Definitely 3D – we have seen that so many places – but could that mean a different dimension in seeing Jesus – perhaps as the Trinity – and could there be stories from Peter, James and John. And that gorilla and guitar keep showing up too!!! VBS Guy – thanks for my non-work brain teaser!!!
vbsguy says
Nadine, we love brain teasers! Especially when it is not our own brain being teased! So you are DEFINITELY sure it has something to do with 3D?
Ukulele girl says
I’ve never been good at this stuff…when will you reveal it already??!! lol
vbsguy says
1:00 PM (CST) Monday, June 3! It is going to blow your mind!
Holly Cole says
Hmm, first clue he was wearing 3D glasses and I believe played 3 – “D” chords on the guitar. Clock said 3:15 and based on the caption under this clue and that Peter was a fisherman, I’m going with 1 Peter 3:15 as the verse. All the answers here were D, so 3 D is definitely part of it. Still not ruling out something to do with Time Travel.
vbsguy says
Holly, you are good! I personally like Lamentations 3:15 for a VBS verse “He filled me with bitterness, sated me with wormwood.”
vbsguy says
What about Lamentations 3:15?
vbsguy says
Ecclesiastes 3:15 might be good as well.
Holly Cole says
Haha! I just can’t see a VBS theme on bitterness. 🙂
I had thought Ecclesiastes sounded like time travel, but 1 Peter seems to fit the bill better.
Jaky Broussard says
I think it’s a decoding adventure in Ireland. Here’s why: William Howard Taft (one of the multiple choices) was ambassador to Ireland, horseback riding is BIG in Ireland (Land of the Horse) as well as hot air ballooning, there’s a Gorilla Rainforest in the Dublin Zoo , exegesis(one of the multiple choices) means an explanation or interpretation of a text, especially religious text.
vbsguy says
Wow! Jaky, you need a job with the FBI!
Annica Cook says
I’m with you on Ireland: Irish Springs, County Cork, castles, naval explorer Shakelton, The Great Telescope, charade-style Irish TV game show, The Poor Law Extension Act following the potato famine, Irish pancakes, the DeLorean, an Irish Setter, and maybe that was St. Patrick.
vbsguy says
I think Ireland would make an excellent theme – but potato famine? Seriously? What would VBS be without snacks? And we have already told you theme is NOT pancakes.
Mark N. says
I believe that the D’s are all leading to a Deserted island theme in the British isles area. That way you can still be near Ireland and be secretive.
Kathie Sickler says
Wow these are some fun clues I think the theme has some thing to do with 3d, pirate island, or knights and castles theme I am stumped
Kristy C. says
Discovery Island
Chuck C. says
I agree with those who think it is located in Scotland. Alba ballooning, Monkey Madness, Dundee – city of Discovery, full time observatory, captain Scott’s RRS Discovery, castles, horseback riding …..many similar things, but lifeway would like you to think one way and then on the reveal day it is the things you overlook that are the real clues.
Just as a side thought, could this be the theme verse:
1 Peter 3:15
Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
15 but honor[a] the Messiah[b] as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason[c] for the hope that is in you.
vbsguy says
Oh Chuck, your comment makes me sad. You think we would really try to throw you off? But then if we didn’t where would be the fun in this little game we like to call Impossible Clues!
Chuck C. says
Haha, your right. It wouldn’t be a lot fun if it was easy to guess. It reminds me a little like a preacher I once heard who would ask questions that you could get close to the answer, but it never was right because only he had the correct answer. I think a lot of people are hitting all around the bullseye, but we will all be able to answer correctly after 1pm Monday and just like in the past, we will all feel silly for overlooking the obvious again. Lol
Gwen says
Oh my! I don’t have time to be participating in this! But it is addictive. VBS coming up in a few short weeks. Where are my priorities!!!
3D TIME TRAVEL SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE (How’s that for vague?)
