I don’t believe #28 was on the Beach Blast picture originally, and I don’t remember an atom ball being used in previous years. Hmmm….?

I’m going with a David and Goliath kind of theme
Tin cup was Mt. Extreme. “Go for the Goal” clipboard was from 1996 (the year before WWGN Stampede in ’97). I, too, am curious about the presence of the atom ball, that one is the only item in the picture that seems out of place to me.
Jane- I believe the three books are anthologies of the history of VBS, bound by a collection of years. I tried to zoom in but it pixilates too much to read if I get too close.

Jane, personally, I wouldn’t read too much into the teapot. Just like the airplane on top of the Rickshaw Rally box, not everything in this display was “official” LifeWay VBS merch. It may just be a souvenir from 2003, when Kingdom Caper was the theme.
The patch was from Mt. Extreme. I have one among my collection of buttons. So was the tin cup (on top of the recipe box) from Mt. Extreme.
Deborah, the foam thing in front of the penguin, is a airplane from this years VBS. Behind the googles, I can see VBS in red, a purple looking mountain, something green like grass, and a yellow ring around part of it. We’ve had patches before. Is this one new?
I don’t think it’s a sports or Olympic theme. And I am thinking it is retro – something in the 60’s – resources, atom, etc
The Red phone booth that looks like a teapot is kinda courious to me… Kingdom Kaper was few years back, but don’t remember this being from it.
Read on facebook, the patch behind the googles was from a past theme (I think it was Artic Edge). Question: Why is Beach Blast the only second theme here? All the others was the main theme for VBS. And if you look on fb where you see the video’s and clues, they list 16 of past vbs themes and Beach Blast is not one of them. I may be thinking too hard. lol I’m ready for Monday to get here!!
I was also puzzled about the teapot. I remember the phone booth, but not it being a teapot.
I think it has something to do with timne travel (i.e. the past, present, FUTURE). a lot of clues seem to be about traveling, and getting there and then some seem to be backwards for some reason.
I am trying to find out where or how I can get a list of previous years theme’s! Can you help me out? I have found them back to 2003 but I would like to find previous years too. I have had people asking so we can put years to pictures.
