Foto Friday. . .Thankful
Well, it’s Foto Friday again! How is everyone doing this week? Hopefully good! I actually had another blog post for you but I decided to wait until November 18th to post it because I’ve been noticing a little trend/exercise that several people are doing on Facebook. No, it’s not “20 things about me” or Planking (<—-okay, this is a weird one). Oh! Speaking of planking, here’s one of my co-workers trying it out!
That is still too funny!
But, getting back to this week’s blog post, the trend I’ve seen on Facebook is “What I’m thankful for”. So, in the interest of November and Thanksgiving, I give you a few things that I’m thankful for:
- my wife of (almost) 12 years
- my daughter who we adopted from China and who talks a mile-a-minute (I think I’m being paid back for when I was a kid)
- The Lord for everything he has done in my life
- all the workers of VBS who care so much for the kids
- my parents and brother (<—-who once locked me out of the house, in the snow [in Maine] while I was in my skivvies)
- the opportunity I have to do the Lord’s work
- the weird sense of humor the Lord blessed me with
These are just a few of the things I’m thankful for. What are you thankful for?
Thankful for my Lord and Savior; thankful for a wonderful Christian family; thankful for my friends; my church family; thankful for VBS because it allows us to share the love of Christ with children–thankful for Operation Christmas Child for the same reason (please participate)! Also thankful for the weird sense of humor the Lord blessed you with Keith because while I read the VBS blog daily I always look forward to seeing what you have to say on Fridays!
p.s. I’m also thankful for the opportunity to use a blog in order to proclaim the name of Jesus and encourage others!
I am thankful, you didn’t ask me to pose as the planker in your photo! ha ha
Seriously,
I am thankful for the work I get to do at LifeWay!
I am thankful for my quirky little family! (Yes, that includes Granny)
I am thankful that God has blessed me beyond measure and with much more than I deserve!
