In Honor of National Cookie Month
Who loves cookies? I am guessing almost everyone shouted, “Yes!” Well, the VBS team is no different, so in honor of National Cookie Month, I polled the team to find out everyone’s favorite cookie. And the results. . .
Keith–Peanut Butter (He prefers them well done especially around the edges.)
Melita–Chocolate Chip (Baked or not!)
Debbie–Chocolate Chip with Pecans
Lynne–another Peanut Butter fan
Joyce–White Chocolate Macadamia Nut
Rhonda–Snickerdoodles (Figures she would like the one with a funny sounding name!)
Gordon–Oatmeal Raisin with Chocolate Chips (I was going to give him the healthy award until he threw in the chocolate chips!)
Candace–Shortbread (Nothing fancy for this member of our team!)
Darlene–Chocolate Chip
Myself–Fudge Marble Swirl (I’ve included the recipe!)
Fudge Marble Swirl Cookies
1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. fudge marble cake mix
1/3 c. cooking oil
Water
1 egg
1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. By hand, blend cake mix, oil, 3 Tbsp. water and egg; stir in chocolate chips. Transfer 1/4 of dough to small bowl. Stir in tablespoon of water and contents of small cake mix packet. Spoon in dark dough over light dough to marble. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until edges are brown.
So, let us know, what’s your favorite?

Mine is Hero cookies from Game Day. Do I get the healthy award, they are made with Wheaties?
